How to Apply / Procedure
For professional use only. Patch test mandatory.
- Cleanse the skin thoroughly with an oil-free cleanser and pat dry.
- Perform a patch test below the neck or on the inner arm and assess for irritation.
- Using a brush, cotton-tipped applicator, or gloved fingers, apply a thin, even layer of Pyruvic Melasma Peel.
- Begin application from the forehead and move downward to the neck.
- Contact time should be professionally determined based on sensitivity.
- Leave the peel on for 3–7 minutes under professional supervision.
- Apply a neutralizer if required, wait 1 minute, then rinse thoroughly with water.
- Apply a soothing moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen.
- Continue moisturization and SPF twice daily for at least 7 days post-treatment.
Contraindications
This peel is contraindicated in the following conditions:
- Active cutaneous infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal)
- Open wounds, abrasions, or compromised epidermal barrier
- Acute inflammatory conditions (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis)
- Known hypersensitivity to pyruvic acid or peel components
- Recent dermatological or cosmetic procedures (laser, microneedling, waxing, surgery)
- Photosensitized or sunburned skin
- Pregnancy and lactation unless under medical supervision
- Recent or current oral isotretinoin/systemic retinoid use
- History of impaired wound healing or keloid formation
- Untrained or home use
Patch Test
Apply a small amount of Pyruvic Melasma Peel below the neck or on the inner arm. Observe for irritation, redness, or allergic reaction before full application.
Post-Peel Care
- Strict sun protection and consistent moisturization are essential after treatment
- Mild dryness or slight flaking may occur as exfoliation progresses
- Do not peel or manually remove flaking skin
- Use gentle cleansers and avoid scrubs or harsh soaps for 7–10 days
- Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily on all exposed areas
Note
Visible peeling is not required for effectiveness. Resistant or thicker areas may require adjusted contact times or professionally guided multi-session protocols.
